Camille Shakti is the founder of Lithuania’s first aerial studio “CAMIYOGA” since 2014. As a lifelong student of the many yoga styles including hatha and vinyasa yoga as well as contemporary dance and movement therapy, she has been honing her skills since childhood. She's a Registered Yoga Teacher and live and teach yoga in Lithuania and in New Zealand. ​

When did you fall in love with aerial yoga?

I fell in love with aerial yoga in 2014 in one aerial yoga workshop that led to teacher training course and then in Autumn of 2014, I opened the first aerial yoga studio “CamiYoga” in Lithuania (IG @camiyoga.lt). But my yoga journey started over a decade ago, in my 20s I used to dance contemporary dance and practice taichi, then eventually I enrolled into yoga world through meditation and breathing exercises. I practiced mostly hatha and ashtanga yoga and finished Shivananda TTC and Advanced course in India (E-RYT500). So, taichi taught me about subtlety of the inner energy, while dancing was my true meditation through the expression of your authentic movement and yoga became my true path as a student and as a teacher. But as a teacher I was still searching for my own style to add everything in one and aerial yoga made it happen! It combines everything in one: the wide possibilities of the body expression in the air, yoga structure, awakening of childlike feeling and creativity while floating up in the air in antigravity sensation!

What do you teach in your courses?

I teach aerial yoga, vinyasa flow, yin, meditations and breath work, dance therapy as well as couples yoga. Besides that I organise workshops, retreats, aerial yoga teacher trainings, sharing yoga love in my online classes on my youtube channel “Camiyogair”.
