Our Story
Hi, I'm Valentina.
I've been living in London for almost a decade and during summer 2020, in the midst of the pandemic and at the height of my pregnancy, I decided to found Loony Legs.
To cheer myself up, I started looking for a pair of funky leggings, but everything felt already seen and quite predictable. So, I decided to do the next best thing and create my own brand of funky leggings!
My husband initially said it was a crazy idea.
So naturally, I named the brand Loony Legs. And here we are!
Why another leggings brand?
I had just started practising yoga and I was looking for some colourful leggings to brighten up my days and help me go through that challenging year.
But after a long search I couldn't find anything that really inspired me. Everything felt already seen and quite predictable.
So with the help of my husband (he does the marketing stuff) and a small team of female creatives, I decided to create my own brand of sustainable, funky leggings.
The plan was to avoid using the usual, run-of-the-mill patterns widely used in the funky leggings niche.
Instead, each pair was to be designed as a unique piece, like fashion clothes. With designs and patterns never seen before.
In just a few months the brand grew organically on Instagram and Facebook and it became clear to us that there was an appetite for that kind of product, and that our customers loved the quality of Loony Legs!
That's when my husband Luca and I decided to properly start investing in the brand, in order to turn that side hustle into a family business.
In just over a year we created never-seen-before designs, we built an incredible community and hopefully we brought some joy and fun to yoginis, runners and gym lovers all around the world.

FAQs
How do you make the leggings so soft?
Our absolutely fantastic patterned leggings and women's activewear are made incredibly soft by using buttery-soft microfibre yarn composed of 82% polyester and 18% spandex material. This combination, along with a four-way stretchy fabric, ensures our leggings fit perfectly with a comfy and soft feel. Additionally, our leggings are sweat-wicking and quick-drying, enhancing their softness and comfort during wear.
Our leggings come in a range of colour and prints, and we even have a collection with pockets!
Are the sports bras supportive?
Our sports bras are designed to cater to various activities and levels of support. While our normal sports bras provide gentle support ideal for yoga and pilates, ensuring freedom of movement without constraining the chest, we also offer options with higher support for more intensive activities like running and gym workouts. Our customers love the perfect fit, security, and unique style of our bras, which come in funky patterned designs and a range of sizes, allowing you to confidently elevate your activewear game.
Are your products made from sustainable materials?
Yes, our products at Loony Legs are made from sustainable materials. We prioritise eco-friendly choices, from using sustainable materials in our leggings to employing non-harmful dyes and ethical, sustainable mail packaging. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just materials; we also operate on a made-to-order model to minimise overproduction and waste.
Additionally, our production processes, including printing, utilise environmentally friendly practices, such as water-based NeoPigment™ inks that are free of heavy metals and formaldehyde, and almost zero waste water usage. We're constantly seeking ways to reduce our environmental impact, including offsetting our emissions through tree planting initiatives and ensuring fair trade practices in our manufacturing.
